one day a man found a gold Chane on way... he picked it up n reached near by police station to deposit that in Govt. Account n file a report so that real owner may located n his lost thing can b returned to him...
But lazy police man refused to complete formalities n cursed him for bothering him ... advised him to keep it with him... but man adhered to his decision and asked him to file FIR and find original owner... At last policeman completed the formalities and deposited chain to govt. fund...
Few week later that police man was passing through a market.. Their was a big crowd making noice n eager to beat someone... he rescueed entrapped man n recognised him as honest man of previous time.... he enquired the matter.... They r blaming him for stealing few potatoes from a shop.... policeman never believed this n tried to make clear/ensure that their must b some misunderstanding as that man can not ever steel... but peoples was very sure n seeing their mood he ensure prosecution of that man and taken him to police station along with him...
Just to make clear the situation he asked the Truth from that man....man replied , " as u know me from last incident i will not lie... yes i stolen 3-4 potatoes from that shop."
police man shocked and asked,"what is your explanation.... he can not believe that he had stolen...."
Man replied, " nothing serious... it just mood, heart or type of urge... that day his conscious did not allowed him to keep gold chain with him as it was wrong... now as i seen these potatoes a thought of stealing occupied his brain n heart forced him for this... so he just stolen in quest of zeal"
Actually this was in punjabi...I jst adapted in English... Punch line was"Dil tan marji da malik hai... Pal ch Raza ... Pal ch Faskir... Mauj ch aya tan sigashan nu laat maar deve... lalach kare tan aloo v chori kar lave.." Bhaut he dungi psychology nu aram nal bian kar dita gaya hai es story ch bazurga n ne....
(Punch line was, " Heart of human is most dubious... if Happy n in light mood one may deny kings chair... when other time same heart may fore you stole potato for just adventure..." This was told by rural folk to explain complex human behaviour in most simplistic way...)
