A wail in love... Most of us had enjoyed it in mood.... Relating it with our beloved... our emotions of love, betrayal or quest to see the beloved....

Do you know that is grief ridden mourn comes out from heart of a mother who lost his child..

This is story of a women supposed to be leaving in Blochistan area in Pakistan. Her husband used to go on ling mercantile trips... She had a only child to company her while she was alone... The child died and left her alone agony. In deep shock she and rebellion against her fate she built a sculpture of his son by using soil and started treating as her living son. People keep laughing at her. But she carried it along her long 12 years hoping some day it will live up. After 12 years a king saint seeing her faith and love put his cloth on sculpture and poured holy water on it.. and the child finally got up alive. . So the agony of mother was shattered and faith and love won.

This folk song depicts the journey of that mother...... word are beautiful... feelings are deep and song directly goes down into heart....

Sajna ne full marya.......

"Sajna ne full marya meri roh hijar tak roi...
Lokan de pathran di mainu peed jara v na hoi......"

I love this song.... I heard the version sung by Sukhwinder... nice....

Once i heared a young boy singing this in train with Rawan Hatha(A sweet wired musical instrument, once prevelent in Rajasthan) I liked his version the most.... Sung deeply ... imbibed and with single music instrument... But i never felt the need of more instrument was necessary anymore in between the song...

Many of us must had heard the song... Most of us may have liked it.... BUT DO YOU KNOW THE ORIGINAL MESSAGE OR ORIGIN OF SONG...

WELL HERE IS THE THE STORY .....

This is the time of 880 A.D. and empire is of today's "Bagdad" ...
Sufi Saint Husain-Bin-Muhmad-Albedavi-Al-Halaz.... Commonly know as "Mansoor" was being prosecuted by then khalifa.... He was being carried through the roads of Bagdad and everyone who sees him had to pelt stone on him.... Many of peoples are doing so...

Another wise man of that time "Shibli" who know about the Mansoor's divinity pelted him with a Rose... Afraid to violate the verdict of Khalifa by not throwing a stone on him and feeling worried how to stone a holy Man... He chose middle way .... by throwing a rose....

This anguished the Mansoor most... Choosing a middle path for earthly benefits, Not trusting the divine, Diverting from path of truth is not aspected from a wise man.... So Mansoor said him, " Why you had chooses to ride two boats at same time? Either you have selected the divine or must become true to State(Kingdom)? If you had obeyed the kingdom then must have pelted me with stone.. and if you was my true friend then you must had not afraid from Kingdom. I had thought that you had understood Divinity... But you failed the both.."

feeling rush of blood in veins ... I had felt much more... Just do remember our folk in glorious and rich... To be prodded of...

So still we sing the same.... but meaning had changed.... That is how our culture depleted and rotten.....

Bottom liner:

Someone had asked Mansoor "Hajoor Ishque Ki huna hai?"

Mansoor Replied," Ishque tu ajj dekhi. Fir kal dekhi te jaho jalal parson dekhi isque da.....

He said this while he knows the verdict of being hanged till death after anguish of whole day of beating with lashes and pinned on pole by nails before death....

"Kal di raatmeri suwah mera wishona banigi,
Kal di raat mai apna wishona apne hanjua nal nahi bhion sakanga,
Har wakt to akhda si mai tere kol hovanga,
Eithe hi rahi, Nere tere te Ishque de rang taki."

How Lahsun (Garlic) got its pungent smell

Our folklore tries to explain many things in it very unique way.....

This time while I was going to one of my school one old farmer asked for lift .... I reluctantly halted my bike and he quickly climbed up on bike.. While going he started to discus tit bits and conversation diverted to topic of Garlic he advised me to ate garlic for batter health....

When I complained about bad smell he told me following story...

Once upon a time 4 saints/sadhus was on char dham yatra. When they were reached to kalish parvat one of them fell ill seriously and got TB... Other 3 walked away and left him to die... While he felt hunger he started eating shrubs and grass around.. He ate garlic prevalent their and felt better then he ate more and got healthy in few days... After few years while a visit to Haridwar he come across his fellows.... They amazed how he got healthy. He denied to revel the secret... Then sadhus cursed that bad smell will develop in the Herb which cured him and  garlic developed bad smell.... So that they can identify/recognise the herb and help others....
